First, I want to start this blog post off my saying...

With that, I want to share some events that are going on around Lee and Collier Counties this weekend. I'll start it off by showcasing a weekly (summer only) event that is hosted by Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) each Friday night.

Hot Summer Nights hosted by CCSO 6-9pm
All ages enter FREE.  Fleischmann Park, 1600 Fleischmann Blvd., Naples The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its eighth Hot Summer Night event Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fleischmann Park.

Kids can come jump around in the police car bounce house, go rock wall climbing, play corn hole games or have an epic battle with friends at the water balloon and gun station. For the older kids, there will be karaoke and two inflatable giant screens: one to watch a movie and the other to play Wii games!

Hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy will also be available.
Don’t forget – it’s all free!

 Flea Market at Collier County Fairgrounds 7:30-Noon (Saturday-Sunday)

All ages get in FREE.  The NEW location for the only weekly flea market in Collier County that was previously located at the Naples Drive-In Theatre for many years. Every Saturday and Sunday at the Collier County Fairgrounds. Eleven miles east of 75, just after Waterways on the right.

Orange Jeep Ride-N-Slide at Ave Maria La Piazza Towncenter

Embark on a 60-minute eco-adventure tour in open-air Jeep thru SW Florida's beautiful, pristine terrain in Ave Maria. Then refresh yourself at the Water Park, all for one low price. FREE Dance Class All Day at Ave Maria Dance Academy 9-5pm (Saturday June 27th Only)

Ages: 3+ National Dance Day is Saturday, July 27th and Ave Maria Dance Academy is celebrating by offering FREE dance classes all day from 9:00am - 5:00pm! Visit our website (see link below) for the full schedule and if you plan on attending the 3:30pm Master Classes and you have some time on your hands – use the orange links on our website to start to learn the choreography on your own! 

Ranger-Led Tour of Koreshan Historic Site starts at 10am (Saturday and Sunday)

Cost: $1-2 for all ages.  Rangers lead weekly tours of Koreshan, a state park and historic site.
Koreshan, a nationally recognized historical site, was originally settled in the late 1800s as a utopian community. The site offers RV and tent camping, canoeing on the Estero River, a playground and nature trails. Parking fee is $4 per car. 

Meet the Zookeepers of Naples Zoo (7 days per week)

All ages. Zoo entrance fee: $0-20. Presentations are at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and are included with admission to the Naples Zoo. 

Children's Story Time at Barnes & Nobles Estero 10:30am (Saturdays)

All ages for FREE. Barnes and Nobles hosts a weekly story time intended for all ages. Children will sing songs, play games and participate in craft activities.

Mason Lane on Steel Drum and Guitar at Hurricane Grill Coconut Point 7-10pm 

(Fridays Only)

All ages and entrance is free.  Enjoy the hot sounds and cool beats of Mason Lane on the steel drum and guitar every Friday this fall - weather permitting - at Coconut Point Mall in Estero. "Funny Money" Comedy at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre 7-10:15pm (until August 10th)

Ages: 5+ with a ticket price of $28-49. The Off Broadway Palm Theatre presents the side-splitting comedy, Funny Money playing June 13 through August 10, 2013. Written by the master of farce, Ray Cooney, this show is great summer fun for the whole family! Motown and Reggae Favorites 8-11:30pm (Thur, Friday, and Saturdays)

All ages get in FREE. The night’s entertainment is also sure to impress with the cool, smooth sounds of Motown. Motown is just a jumping-off point — the range of Bayview’s performers is much more diverse. The beat of Jimmy Cliff reggae transitions to Stevie Wonder and “More, More, More.” Sing along and tap your toes from 8 until 11:30 p.m., Thursday.
